Scuderia West Spring Open House
I like Scuderia West. Their shop has one of the best thought out stocks of merchandise out there, and they carry a lot of quality gear that is hard to find elsewhere.
For me, the start of riding season is marked by their spring open house. This event, marked by free barbeque, merchandise discounts which range from 10-60%, and vendor representatives is an intelligent and excellent start to the riding season. Last year, a vice president of Alpinestar fit me with riding boots. I wound up with more protection than ever before, and was astounded at how comfortable they were. To top it all off, they ordered exactly what I wanted, and gave me a discount.
If you are looking for a huge discount on a motorcycle or scooter, they are blowing out not new models, so this is your chance.
I was in the shop not long ago, and they were waiting for the new Arai helmets that are super lightweight, and that bring track technology to the street. Klim was expected to ship their new line, incorporating the new 3do armor that is thinner, more flexible, and more comfortable, but “hardens” on impact (3do says the molecules lock, not that it hardens). This is a huge breakthrough. Of course, Scuderia also has a stock of Shark helmets, which have to be the best buy on the planet, and which performed really well in the Sharp results.
