Motorcycle News UK is reporting that this Triumph jacket looks quite similar to the gang logo used by the Outlaws.

Frequently, riders ask me about settling their own claims following a motorcycle accident. After all, they reason, it wasn't my fault and I'm not looking for blood. Won't the insurance company want to settle my case?

Wayne Boyer has done it again.
One of my favorite summer pieces of riding gear is my Motoport (CyclePort) Cordura jeans. Even my wife likes the way these look, and they actually, truly, are more comfortable than my regular denim jeans.

This last weekend I rented a dirt bike from Thunder Road Motorsports, in their Livermore location.
The owner, Michael, and his wife came down specially to set me up, and waited for me at the end of the day. This is amazing, since they live about an hour from the location. Although I didn't need it, Michael also loaned me a loading ramp at no charge.
Carnegie Park is about a half hour away, and has everything you need for a day of fun.

It is almost exactly six month from the 2008 Sturgis event, and almost exactly six month until the 2009 Sturgis event. I thought this would be a good time to remind everyone to make plans now, if you haven't already.
Last year 400,000 riders attended, with advertisers, events, revenue for local governments, and all the fun, camaraderie, and tradition associated with this biggest of events. Next year should be the same.

In normal times, about 25% of the motorists in California operate without insurance.
As the economy continues to sag, that number is going up.
California allows motorists to operate with as little as $15,000 in liability coverage. As the economy sags, more drivers are buying the lower limit policies.
